It Takes Many, Many People

It takes many people to run the Barony; to fill its events with music, sights, fighting, dancing, arts and crafts and more. From our highest leaders, the Coronets, to our much welcomed newcomers, all are important to the thriving success of the Barony.

On this series of webpages you can meet some of our people. We'll start with the Coronets and their Champions, and move on to the Officers of the Barony. Finally, we invite you to browse the pages of the people of the Barony (first names: A-Z) and celebrate old friends and discover new ones!

Paens for Peers

THL Rycheza has written several poems honoring some of the new peers of our Barony, and we are very honored to post them here. These works were also published in the Flames.

For Arcos Arion the Wanderer, OL

The Great Hunter Arion
Heard the call clarion
To his health raise a horn of Meath
Crown his brow with a Laurel Wreath

For Dame Angharad Albanes

In Court the Herald called a Name
The Red-haired girl asked naught for fame
But the Pelican is a noble Bird
Such Recognition is Well-deserved.

For Dame Madrun y Gweddyes

Madrun of mind and fingers deft
Mistress of shuttle, warp and weft
Arianrhod her silver wheel turns
The handmaiden deserved honor earns

For Sir Andras Truemark

Of Stalwart Arm, and Eagle Eye
Heralds call the name; “Draw nigh,”
Long master of the blade and bow
Sir Andras now, by Royal Blow

Dragon's Laire Denizens in the Spotlight

Dragon's Laire is proud to be the home of the former Kingdom Arts and Sciences Champion, Dame Gwen the Potter. Dame Gwen is a much beloved resident of the Barony, well known for her cheerful manner, lovely pottery, merchant wrangling and organizational abilities, and generous nature.
